Product Information - Rarely used in cooking nowadays, lavender was used a lot in the 17th century to make conserves, flavour sugar or used to make lavender icing. All these uses are just as great today – Steenbergs organic Fairtrade lavender sugar combines lavender’s deep mauve colour looks great in our light sugar, while its sweet, fragrant and slightly piney wonderfully offset the sweetness of the sugar. Use in cakes or to flavour cream or as a sprinkle on summer fruits.
