Orris Root Powder - Non Organic

Product - Orris Root Powder - 100g High quality hard to obtain Orris Root Powder (Non Organic Product) - Iris Florentina from Hungary or Morocco

Product Information - Orris Root powder comes from the ground bulbs of an European iris.  Traditionally, it has been used in Western herbal medicine as a base for Pot Pourri, perfumes, e.g. "Y" by Yves St Laurent, and as one of the spices in traditional gins, e.g. Bombay Sapphire Gin.  Steenbergs Organic blends it into its ras al hanut spice mix which we also sell.  It is also commonly used in making pomanders which are perfumed balls often made using an orange.  Orris root is a key ingredient for Pot Pourri making because of its fixative properties, Orris root has a sweet and lingeringly woody aroma.
