Product Information - Steenbergs organic mixed spice is a classic European baking mix. This Mixed Spice is a blend of sweet spices for flavouring cakes, biscuits, sweet pies, pastries and reminds us of Christmas – from Christmas cake through to Christmas pudding and those wonderful warm smells of mince pies and mulled wine. Christmas is when Steenbergs organic mixed spice really comes into its own. At their base in Yorkshire, they have developed their own blend of organic mixed spices. It’s a blend of our own spices from Sri Lankan smallholders – organic cinnamon, organic nutmeg, organic ginger, organic cloves and organic cardamom – mixed with Latin American organic allspice. You might think it strange that they have add a high proportion of organic ground coriander seeds, but this brings all the diverse flavours together.
